Mastering Overtime Compliance: Calculation, Taxation & Reporting
Overtime and minimum wage compliance remain among the most
complex challenges facing employers in 2026. While the U.S. Department of
Labor's 2024 overtime rule was ultimately invalidated by a federal court,
employers must still navigate the existing Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
requirements alongside an increasing number of state laws that impose higher
minimum wage rates, broader overtime protections, and more employee-friendly
standards.
Adding to the complexity, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act
(OBBBA) introduces new considerations for the taxation and reporting of
overtime compensation, impacting payroll processes, Form W-2 reporting,
employee Form W-4 withholding, and overall compliance responsibilities.
This practical webinar will provide the latest federal and
state updates, explain how to correctly classify employees, calculate overtime,
and comply with evolving payroll reporting requirements. You'll leave with
actionable guidance to help reduce compliance risks, avoid costly wage and hour
violations, and ensure your payroll practices remain accurate and compliant.
